These CDs provide the backbone for any Activity Department. The dynamics of James's music provides the perfect background and support for a bell ringing program. A wide range of bell ringing shows can be made from these CD's. Pick the songs you want in your program, copy them in the order needed and you have the music for your performance. Activity Directors have found that these CD's can also be used for listening, exercise, name that tune, and a variety of other activities. It has been documented that they are extremely useful in Alzheimer units. One Activity Director says, "It is the very best thing to play for my residents. They love it and the atmosphere is changed for the better when his music is playing."
This manual teaches our Joy & Action program. It takes you step by step through the complete process to make your home a Joy and Action facility. Included are:
Joy and Action Bells These bells have been boxed to provide bells for four ringers. Included are two red high C's and two red low C's, two blue A's and two turquoise blue G's. By using these bells you can give each bell ringer a red bell for the right hand and a blue bell for the left. Your choir will sound much better and the bell ringers will be able to follow the director more easily. You can now order all of these items online. Workshops One Day Eight Hour Workshop teaches staff and volunteers our program and how to implement it. The Two Day Sixteen Hour Workshop teaches the above plus adds resident bell ringers to the workshop. Both workshops can be done in a host home and other area Activity Directors can attend. The workshop participants receive hands on training and work with the selected resident bell ringers in the home. These residents and workshop attendees design a show and a performance is held on the second afternoon. Families, fellow residents, and friends are invited to attend.
